On Friday, August 29th, Curative hosted our 5th Annual Golf Tournament, with all proceeds going to Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to fund lifesaving research to improve the lives of children battling cancer nationwide.
Over 150 players, sponsors, donors, and volunteers came out to support our programs and enjoy a day on the links at our beautiful host course, Cowboys Golf Club.
“Our annual golf tournament is an important tradition at Curative,” said Michael Douglas, Curative’s Chief People Officer. “It’s become a memorable event that creates a sense of community with our members and customers, a great opportunity to build camaraderie and have a little fun while raising awareness for an important cause.”
In addition to the 18 holes of golf, participants also enjoyed the Ball Drop Contest, where a helicopter dropped over 900 golf balls from a height of 200 feet, with the closest golf ball to the hole winning the overall prize. There were also a host of fun, individual golf-related contests awarded for the “The Longest Drive” and “Closest to the Pin.”
Teamwork makes the dream work – we also want to give a special shoutout to Curative’s very own Cares Crew team, who spent the last three months working diligently to put together such a successful event. The Cares Crew team is made up of our very own Matt Rinehart (Chair), Molly Roskilly (co-Chair), Colton Brandon, Ray Hostetler, Rachel LeGrand, Chelsea Odem, Todd Cadenhead, Bianca Coronado, Carolyn Magilley, Marta Andersson.
They were supported by our day-of volunteers, including Michael Douglas, Megan Williams, Jenna Harpin, Dennis Webb, Hillary Greene, Mary Glover, Jaime Cardenas, Becca Hughes, Matt Funk, Jason Phillips and Toura Nobles.

Thanks to everyone who came out for such a special event. We look forward to hosting y’all again next year!
